As an artist coming from a long line of engineers, I feel right at home stage managing. I love the opportunity to bring order to the story telling and serving everyone involved. I was raised as an actor, but I began directing and stage managing in college. This makes me a well rounded and more creative problem solver.

Throughout my career I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, from DACA kids in Phoenix to poor farmers in China, from 4-year olds to college students. I am comfortable working with diverse state and national standards for curriculum. I have taught theatre to students of all ages in both English and Mandarin. With my background at Childsplay Theatre for Young Audiences and my work as a high school theatre teacher I am confident that I would make a creative and driven member of your team.

Having the privilege of growing up in a world full of imagination and wonder created a love of theatre, people and story in my life.  I am so grateful that I was raised in a home that values imagination.  Imagination leads to wonder and hope.  Forming people’s imaginations has the power to improve homes, schools, neighborhoods and our entire society.  The thought of leaders, scientists, engineers and teachers without a vivid imagination is terrifying. My imagination and experiences in theatre classrooms have made me adaptable, patient and more understanding.  They have also helped me to find confidence when I felt like an outsider. One of my greatest joys has been bringing that world to my students daily. I have a passion for bringing the arts to young people, families and school classrooms. I have seen the impact it created in my own life.  My work as a theatre teacher, fine arts department chair, director, teaching artist, Childsplay Advisory Panel member, stage manager and production manager makes me confident that I would thrive in your theatre community. I am a lifelong learner and I am excited to grow while learning to serve.
